FULL TIME ADMINISTRAVTIVE/SAFETY CORDINATOR POSITION

Castle Rock Enterprises is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a faced paced, construction environment.  The position includes two parts. 
 

  • Administration: will include duties of reception, customer relations, Simply Accounting data entry, filing, accts payable, accts receivable, payroll, remittances and general book keeping.  The successful candidate shall be proficient in computer related skills including typing, Microsoft excel and Microsoft word.  Training will be provided to the successful candidate in Simply Accounting if the candidate does not already contain experience with this software.

  • Safety Coordinator: The successful candidate will be responsible for the company health and safety program as the C.O.R. Safety coordinator.   Training will be provided for first aid/CPR, principals of health and safety management, hazard assessment and control, leadership for safety excellence, auditor certification, WHIMIS, confined space entry and rescue, health and safety committee, site investigations and site inspections.  The candidate will be responsible for managing the safety program both in the office which includes paper work filing, document creation and filing, and as well in the field, on construction sites, conducting site hazards assessments, inspections and investigations.

           
The position is long term, full time, year round Monday to Friday 8-5 with the occasional after hour call out in cases of emergencies or project deadlines that must be met.    The candidate shall be able to work both in a team environment and be a self motivator to work efficiently without supervision independently.  A minimum two year commitment will be expected from candidates who require both training in Simply Accounting and in all safety related programs required for the position.

Wages will be dependent on experience and commitment to the position.

Community Care Worker

Auxiliary On-Call Positions
Location: Haines Junction & Whitehorse
Salary: $18.81 / per hour

Under the direction of the Community Care Coordinator, this position delivers in-home services such as home management, cooking and laundry to clients of the Community Care program and performs other related duties.

Applicants should have knowledge of CAFN, and preference will be given to those who are able to speak or understand the Southern Tutchone language.  The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in providing a wide variety of housekeeping chores and care of elders and other clients. Self-motivation, the ability to relate well to, support elders, other assigned clients, and the enjoyment of working with people is necessary. This position would be required to travel between Haines Junction, Canyon and Champagne.

Education and Experience

Grade 12 with training in a home care attendant or long term cares aide program with work experience in this area or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful applicant must be in good physical condition to provide Community Care services; have a valid First Aid and CPR certificate; a valid Food Safe certificate; have courses in  the Home Support Worker program (completion of the program would be an asset); a valid Yukon class 5 driver’s licence; and a clear criminal records check.
